When the winter season hits the cold weather can take a toll on our skin. Here are my five quick tips for getting your glow back and maintaining healthy skin this winter!
No matter what the weather – rain, snow or shine – an SPF 30+ is a must. Don’t forget to apply it to your chest, neck and hands as well!
You’ve heard it before, but it never hurts to have a reminder! Staying hydrated will prevent your skin from drying out and fend off signs of premature again. I aim for 3-4L each day especially on days that I am highly active.
A daily exfoliant is a great way to buff away dry, dull skin and reveal a fresh healthy glow. Try making your own using 1/4 – 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup coconut oil!
Healthy skin starts on the inside so the foods we eat play a big part in our skin’s radiance. Incorporate foods that are rich in antioxidants such as dark leafy greens, salmon and other fatty fish, berries and tomatoes.
Stress, lack of sleep or dark gloomy days can make us feel sluggish, and it shows on our skin! Meditation, yoga and daily gratitude can help boost mood and reduce stress. Nothing is more radiant than a genuine smile! 🙂
