2 cups broccoli, separated into florets
Juice of half a lemon
1/2 tsp lemon zest
1 Tbsp water
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 cloves garlic, minced
1 pinch sea salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
Place broccoli florets in a large skillet over medium heat. Combine lemon juice (save 1 tsp), zest and water and pour the mixture into the skillet. Cover and steam until broccoli is bright green and just tender, 10 minutes.
While broccoli is steaming, heat oil in a small saucepan over medium-low heat and stir in garlic and salt; lightly brown the garlic but be sure not to burn it. About 6 minutes.
Once broccoli is done, drain and add into cooked garlic. Toss to coat and sprinkle with the 1 tsp lemon juice before serving.
