2 (4oz) salmon fillets

1 tsp Chinese five-spice powder

2 Tbsp tamari

1 1/2 Tbsp pure maple syrup

1/2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil

2 green onions, thinly sliced



Sprinkle both sides of fillets with five-spice powder.

Combine tamari and syrup in a small bowl and whisk together.

Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon and cook until a nice crust forms on either side.

Reduce heat to medium, pour sauce over fish and boil until the fish is cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly (about 2 minutes)

Add onions and remove from the heat. Serve the fish drizzled with the remaining pan sauce.
