Classic Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe

Ingredients

4 1/2 cups low sodium chicken broth

1 cup sweet onion, chopped

1 cup carrot, chopped

1 cup celery, chopped

1tsp dried basil

1tsp dried oregano

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 bay leaf

1 1/2 cups dried egg noodles

2 (5oz) chicken breasts, cooked and chopped in to 1/2″ cubes

 

Directions

In a large pot combine chicken broth, onion, carrot, and celery, dried basil and oregano, black pepper, and bay leaf; bring to a boil.Cover and simmer 5 minutes.

Add egg noodles. Cover and simmer 8 minutes; discard bay leaf.

Add chopped, cooked chicken breast stir to combine ingredients and simmer for 5 more minutes.
