1 lb extra lean ground beef
2 Tbsp unsweetened almond milk
1/4 cup rolled oats
1 small sweet onion, grated
1 Tbsp dijon mustard
2 Tbsp fresh basil, chopped fine
1/2 tsp each sea salt and pepper
1/2 cup light goat cheese
4 tomato slices
4 sprouted grain or gluten free buns
In large bowl whisk together egg and milk; stir in oats, onion, mustard, basil, salt and pepper. Add beef; mix just until combined.
Shape mixture into four burger patties. Place patties on lightly greased grill over medium heat; close lid and grill, flipping once, until cooked through or until you reach your desired doneness. Serve on buns with tomato slices and crumbled feta cheese and your choice of fresh homemade sauces.
